Just a little note to let you know that we had a great time at the walk and a successful year.
The weather was great and Team Lockwood raised just over $11,000 which is just short of our goal of $12,000.
The support of my family in friends in helping remember Greg and find a cure is so very special to me.

Down to 13 runners, the Midget 2 Boys team overcame the odds to win the Midget C Provincial Championship.

To say it was an interesting season would be the understatement of the summer.  But it all ended on a high note on the afternoon of Sunday August 8th as the Warriors won the Midget "C" Provincial Championship.

Dealing with injuries and suspensions for much of the season, the team struggled to find their identity.  Going into the Provincials however, the team was riding a 4 game winning streak that included the Zone Championship; an 8-3 win against rival Beaches.

The boys kept their winning ways through the first two games defeating Brampton 8-4 and Kahnawake 8-1.  That would setup their third game against Six Nations as one that would determine first and second seed heading into the Quarter Finals.

The Warriors came out on top with a 7-3 win and earned that important first seeding.  But during a third period brawl, the team lost the services of three players for the remainder of the tournament, two of them from their offense and one transition.

But that adversity certainly appeared to bring the team together as they went on to defeat Orangeville 4-3 in the quarter finals, Cornwall in the Semi finals by a 6-3 score, and set them up in the Final against Shelburne.

On 4 hours rest, and playing their third game with the reduced line-up, the Warriors stormed out of the gate and built up a 6-0 lead.  Shelburne would come storming back and eventually tied the game at 6-6.  But it was meant to be as the Warriors scored two more, and again held off Shelburne late to win by an 8-7 score.

Team members are:

Matt Sidaros, Jeremy Osborne, Sheldon Johnstone, Cory Simic, Bryce McDonald, Shane Takahashi, Matt Lyons, Kyle Harper, Matt Waters, Brandon Allardyce, Chris Turner, Jeff Julien, Tanner Theede, Deshawn Doran-Noriega, Dakota Kettrick, Tyler Jackson, Wes Phillips , Mark Pryor and Jacob Mark.

Staff is Gary Mark, John Phillips, Matt Allardyce and Bob Pryor.

Congrats to the entire team on a fantastic finish to a roller coaster season!
